ABSTRACT
Pseudostellaria heterophylla produces both closed (cleistogamous, CL) and open (chasmogamous, CH) flowers on the same individual but in different seasons. The production of CH CL might be response to environmental changes. To better understand molecular mechanisms flowering, we compared transcriptome two types examine differential gene expression patterns, identify regulatory networks that control flowering. Using RNA sequencing, identified homologues 428 Arabidopsis genes involved regulating flowering processes estimated patterns between flowers. Some these showed significantly In addition, another 396 differentially expressed transcripts are stress responses flavonoid biosynthesis. We propose how key members three modules may explain Future research is needed investigate environment impinges pathways regulate P. heterophylla.
