ABSTRACT
Vibrios are among the most diverse and ecologically important marine bacteria, which have evolved many characteristics lifestyles to occupy various niches. The relationship between genome features environmental adaptation strategies is an essential part for understanding ecological functions of vibrios in system. advent complete sequencing technology has provided method examining genetic on genomic level. Two Vibrio genomes were sequenced found unique orthologues families absent from previously genes pool vibrios. Comparative genomics analysis encompass a steady core-genome tremendous pan-genome with substantial gene gain horizontal transfer events evolutionary history. Evolutionary based tree suggested that V. fischeri emerged ~ 385 million years ago, along occurrence cephalopods flourish fish. relatively large genomes, high number 16S rRNA copies, presence R-M systems CRISPR system help live environments. Chitin-degrading related carried nearly all genomes. chitinase been extremely expanded compared recent ancestor genus. A estimated genus, undergone significant purifying selective force conserve ancestral state. experienced expansion during their history, allowing them develop spread globally. Despite close phylogenetic relationships, core-genome, indicates highly plastic Additionally, existence chitin-degrading genus demonstrate importance chitin utilization Defensive may protect invasion external DNA. These investigated here provide better knowledge how process forged
