ABSTRACT
Escherichia coli (E. coli) is the most common bacterial species implicated in various types of infections including septicemia, gastroenteritis, urinary tract infections, meningitis and others pathologies. These involve several clones with multidrug resistance making them difficult to treat. The aims this study was perform molecular typing E. strains using universal primer (GTG)5. In study, 53 were collected from inpatients outpatients. test antimicrobial sensibility realized CA-SFM /EUCAST method identified by conventional microbiological tests. carbapenemase-producing demonstrated phenotypic method. Bacterial DNA extracted boiling (GTG)5-PCR used for strain subtyping. DendroUPGMA software grouping genetic fingerprints obtained (GTG)5-PCR.Antibiotic susceptibility revealed that all multi-drug resistant (MDR). Its showed at least three different families antibiotics. Of MDR strains, only one a metallo-β-lactamase producer. dendrogram fingerprinting allowed be grouped into 22 clusters (G1 G22).The (GTG) 5-PCR assay enabled rapid strains. typed would belong clones.
