ABSTRACT
Pancreatitis induced by hypertriglyceridemia (HTG) has gained much attention. However, very limited numbers of studies have focused on the clinical significance TG elevation in non-HTG pancreatitis, such as acute biliary pancreatitis (ABP). This study aimed to significances triglyceride (TG) patients with ABP. We retrospectively analyzed a total 426 ABP cases our research center. According highest level within 72 h disease onset, were divided into normal group and an elevated group. differences between two groups aspects general information, severity, APACHE II (acute physiology chronic health evaluation II) Ranson scores, inflammatory cytokines, complications prognosis. Compared group, showed significantly higher body mass index younger. at early stage was associated risk severe organ failures, especially respiratory failure. For those levels more likely larger area necrosis, incidence pancreatic abscess well mortality (17.78% versus 9.80%, P < 0.05). In patients, might participate aggravation occurrence systemic or local complications. Thus, may serve important indicator determine prognosis
