ABSTRACT
Hepatic arterioportal shunt (A-P shunt) is defined as the direct blood flow established between hepatic artery and portal venous system; it frequently observed in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Clinically, important to diagnose HCC associated A-P shunts, may impact treatment strategy of patients. In present study, we described imaging findings shunts discussed treatments such From findings, also potential cause shunts. Clinical data (n = 560), admitted hospital April 2012 2014, were reviewed. angiography was used examine presence Of 137 grading performed, statistical analysis different grades clinical characteristics performed. The confirmed that 99 had typical (Grade 1–3), 38 atypical Embolization main treat which liquid embolic agents appeared provide a better outcome. correlation showed vein tumor thrombus significantly (p < 0.001, Spearman coefficient 0.816 ± 0.043). We characterized proposed for treating various levels supported hypothesis formation caused by thrombus.
