ABSTRACT
Abstract Purpose To compare the diagnostic performance of double contrast-enhanced ultrasound (DCEUS) and multi-detector row computed tomography (MDCT) in gross classification gastric cancer (GC) preoperatively. Methods 54 patients with histology proved GC were included this retrospective study. The sensitivity specificity DCEUS MDCT for was calculated compared. area under curve (AUC) from a receiver operating characteristic analysis used to evaluate difference between these two methods. Results There no significant differences terms AUC early (EGC), Borrmann I, II, III (III + IV) ( P = 0.248, 0.317, 0.717, 0.464 0.594, respectively). accuracy diagnosing EGC, II higher than that (96% vs 92%; 96% 94%; 87% 80%; 83% 73%), while determining IV, lower (72% 74%; 89% 96%). Conclusion Considering revolution clinical decision, prognosis evaluation, safety non-invasion aspects, can be as main alternative method
