ABSTRACT
Abstract Background We tried to identify the risk factor associate with early chronic kidney disease (CKD) in recently diagnosed type 2 diabetes mellitus patients by utilizing real-world data from Taiwan Diabetes Registry. Materials and methods Patients within 1 year. divided study participants into control group CKD group. Early was defined as either stage G1 albuminuria, G2 or G3a regardless of albuminuria (Urine-albumin creatinine ratio (UACR) ≥ 3 mg/mmol). Control without albuminuria. Logistic regression analyses were used compare differences clinical characteristics between subgroups. Linear models employed examine factors predicting estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) UACR. Results Total 2217 included. 1545 assigned 618 Age (odds (OR) 1.215, 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.122–1.316), systolic blood pressure (OR 1.203, CI 1.117–1.296), glycated hemoglobin 1.074, 1.023–1.129) triglyceride 2.18, 1.485–3.199) found be significant factors. Further, presence bidirectional association UACR eGFR found. Conclusions reported associated patients. Variables that identified respectively, included a mutual influence eGFR.
