ABSTRACT
This study was conducted to determine the efficacy of surgery in treatment complex aspergilloma comparatively with simple aspergilloma.From January 2006 December 2014, 115 cases pulmonary were admitted our department. One operation on one side counted as case and patients divided into two groups. In group A: 61 aspergilloma. B: 50 underwent 54 lung resection for People who arteriography embolization excluded. Surgical indicated when 1) recurrent aspergilloma-related hemoptysis, 2) definite or 3) a simultaneous bilateral aspergilloma.People big smokers lower BMI, had reduced function parameters. The main symptoms repeated chronic cough, abundant purulent expectoration respiratory infections. Lobectomy most performed indication. B, number wedge resections larger than A statistical significant difference (p = 0.001). post-operative course morbidity higher (16%) vs (9%) B 0.026). median follow-up 30 months (range 19-52 months). duration chest tube drainage 4 days. longer (4.7 ± 1.4 versus 2.9 1.3; p 0.005). prolonged postoperative air leakage occurred more frequently (14.75%; 1.8% 0.015). A, 3 2 secondary post operative hemothorax. Bronchopleural fistula exclusively (n 4).The surgical should be used multidisciplinary approach.
