ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study was to analyze the characteristics cracked teeth and evaluate pulp status according periodontal probing depth (PPD).A total 182 were included. location type teeth, age gender patients, restoration type, status, PPD, radiographic findings analyzed.Mandibular second molars (25.3%) most frequently involved followed by mandibular first (22.5%), maxillary (22.0%), (17.6%). patient 50-59 years. Cracks occurred mainly in nonbonded restorations, such as gold (26.9%), usually found intact (37.9%). A 103 (56.6%) had an initial PPD less than 3 mm, while 40 (22.0%) a 4-6 39 (21.4%) 7 mm or more. 33 (18.1%) diagnosed with necrosis, irreversible pulpitis, 97 (53.3%) reversible pulpitis. incidence necrosis 31.8% among 28.6% those more.Cracks molar commonly no restoration. Patients aged Cracked showing more 4 likely show necrosis.
