ABSTRACT
Age at menarche (AAM) and age natural menopause (AANM) have been shown intimately associated with woman's health later in life. Previous studies indicated that AAM AANM are highly heritable. RANKL/RANK/OPG signaling pathway is essential for mammary gland development, which also found post-menopausal hormone-related diseases. The aim of this study was to evaluate associations between the polymorphisms TNFSF11, TNFRSF11A TNFRSF11B genes Chinese women.Post-menopausal women (n = 845) aged from 42 89 years were recruited study. Information about obtained through questionnaires genomic DNA isolated peripheral blood participants. Total 21 tagging single nucleotide (SNPs) genotyped.Three SNPs (rs4500848, rs6567270 rs1805034) showed significant association (P < 0.01, P 0.02 respectively), one SNP (rs9962159) significantly 0.03). Haplotypes TC AT (rs6567270-rs1805034) be 0.01 0.02, haplotypes GC AC (rs9962159-rs4603673) 0.03 respectively). No TNFSF11 or gene found. The present suggests but not genetic women. findings provide evidence variations may onset cessation menstruation cycle.
