ABSTRACT
Doctor-patient communication is a crucial aspect of patient care. This study explored the experience patients in cancer consultation over course continuum.In-depth interviews with seven breast were carried out.Themes related to experiences across five phases consultation, from diagnosis recurrence, identified. The most salient issue that also perceived as 'a disease mind', which not adequately cared for consultation. highlights notion care providers should provide appropriate psychological dimensions an empathic and sincere attitude during consultations. To this end, non-verbal aspects convey caring, support, respect seem important. Furthermore, time was far shorter then they needed reported felt pressured time. Moreover, stance taken by needs preferences varied trajectory. As progressed through their treatment, assumed more active roles need detailed information questioning increased. Thus, ensuring have opportunities ask questions important.Current findings suggest efficacy varies depending on phase are effective be tailored these evolving patients.
