ABSTRACT
The aim of the present study was to assess in vitro protoscolicidal effects curcumin nanoemulsion (CUR-NE) against protoscoleces cystic echinococcosis (CE)/hydatid cysts. The CUR-NE prepared via spontaneous emulsification soybean as oil phase, a mixture Tween 80 and 85 surfactant, ethanol co-surfactant distilled water. Various concentrations (156, 312, 625 1250 µg/ml) were exposed collected infected sheep liver hydatid cysts for 10, 20, 30, 60 120 min. Viability assessed using eosin exclusion test. Morphological changes observed differential interference contrast (DIC) microscopy. The mean particle size zeta potential included 60.4 ± 14.8 nm - 16.1 1.1 mV, respectively. Results showed that viability decreased significantly with increases (p < 0.001). mortality rates exposure µg/ml min 94 73.33%, Mortality 100% after CUR-NE. Using NIC microscopy, extensively altered tegumental surface CUR-NE.The findings revealed Therefore, CUR-NEs are addressed novel agents, which can be used an alternative natural medicine kill protoscoleces, owing their low toxicity significant inhibition potency. However, further studies necessary investigate pharmacologic pharmacokinetics CUR-NEs.
