ABSTRACT
The implementation of competency-based intrinsic roles in undergraduate medical education remains a challenge. Faculties transition need to be provided with generalizable curricular data order facilitate orientation on roles' representation and decide steps curriculum development. Explicit implicit objectives multi-site agreement can viewed as status indicators for the adoption roles. Our aim was develop pragmatic cross-locational approach capture developmental an overview prioritize strategic recommendations.Based mapping from six German faculties, relationship between explicit role' (weighting) extent programs' consent (agreement) calculated. Data visualized role-specific Matrix Map analyse implicit-explicit relation risk-value potential. matrix combined Roger's stages innovation diffusion differentiated interpretation role status.Entangling weighting, 4-Field-Matrix allows assess based their current localization quadrant: "Disregard" (lower left) "Progress" quadrant (upper reveal period; "Potential" right) "Emphasis" indicate period. patterns differ representation, progression clarity: (1) Scholar: explicit/implicit - scattered across matrix; most "Progress". (2) Health Advocate: primarily "Emphasis"; only which significantly exceeds implicit. (3) Collaborator: mainly "Potential"; or "Emphasis". (4) Professional: but also appears better adopted weighting; high hidden curricula. (5) Manager: exclusively "Potential", without signs Role correspond evidences literature. Exemplified roles, quadrant-specific strategies measures are suggested. Framework reviewers may gain information discussion critical content. The enables catch intuitively profiles regarding pattern, programs agreement. Thus, informed discussions fostered. Further target-oriented analyses developments conducted enhance transparency resource-efficiency.
