ABSTRACT
Abstract Background Expanding new nurse training and education is a priority for nursing educators as well critical initiative to stabilize the workforce. Given that there currently no standardized program of nurses in China, we investigated effectiveness bridge-in, objective, pre-assessment, participatory learning, post-assessment, summary model combined with case-based learning ((BOPPPS-CBL) nurses. Methods The mixed method approach explanatory sequential (quantitative-qualitative) was used. A questionnaire used compare impact BOPPPS-CBL Traditional Learning Model (TLM) on core competencies 185 two years training. Quantitative data were analyzed using SPSS 22.0. Focus group interviews four groups perceptions recorded. Qualitative thematically. Results According quantitative data, more agreed stimulated their improved than TLM. outperformed TLM theoretical knowledge tests. revealed 87.5% value training, three themes extracted: (1) role promotion; (2) formation thinking solve clinical problems; (3) suggestions improvement. Conclusion had significant improving nurses’ promoting transition practice China. study recommends an effective teaching
