ABSTRACT
In order to address several health challenges, the Chinese government issued National Essential Public Health Services Package (NEPHSP) in 2009. China's large cities, lack of funding for community centers and consequent comprehensive services high quality care has become a major challenge. However, no study been carried out estimate cost delivering package. This project was develop estimation approach appropriate context use it calculate NEPHSP Beijing 2011. By adjusting models analysis primary workload indicators staffing need developed by World Organization, model package through an intensive interactive process. A total 17 from eight administrative districts were selected. Their service volume expenditure data 2010 used evaluate costs providing based on applied model. The all types sample equivalent requirement 14,056,402 standard clinic visits. 26,329,357.62 USD 2010. one visit 1.87 USD. 5,514,777 visits (39.23 % workload). suggests that 7.95 per capita urban areas lower than suburban areas: 7.31 8.65 respectively. average investment 3.97 amount needed meet its running costs. is therefore underfunded. Additional needed, dynamic mechanism should be introduced ensure remain adequately funded.
