ABSTRACT
Abstract The use of geographic information system (GIS) technologies to improve access health is gaining momentum in Africa. This has become more pertinent with the increasing penetration mobile-phone technology and internet use, calls for innovative strategies support implementation World Health Organization Sustainable Development Goals universal coverage on continent. huge potential benefits GIS advance service delivery Africa is, however, yet be fully harnessed due critical challenges such as proliferation pilot projects, poor coordination, inadequate preparedness workforce GIS, lack interoperability, sustainable financing.
