ABSTRACT
Malaria is a complex disease, which varies in its epidemiology and clinical manifestation. Although artemether-lumefantrine has been used as first-line drug for uncomplicated Plasmodium falciparum malaria Bahir Dar district since 2004, efficacy not yet assessed. The main objective of this study was to quantify the proportion patients with who were prescribed failed treatment after 28-day follow-up. research team attempted conduct an observational cohort on assessment therapeutic safety aged over five years from March July 2012. Among 130 participants study, 60 % males 1:5 male female ratio. mean asexual parasitaemia load 8675 parasites/μL 96.1 free at day 3. At end 98.5 showed adequate parasitological response drug. In only 1.5 shown late failure between seventh 14th follow-up 1.3 anaemia According findings, fulfilled inclusion criteria WHO continues be choice malaria.
