ABSTRACT
Metastasis associated lung adenocarcinoma transcript 1 (MALAT1) plays an important role in vascular remodeling. Down-regulation of MALAT1 can inhibit the proliferation endothelial cells and smooth muscle cells, reduce cardiomyocyte apoptosis improve left ventricular function, which is closely linked to numerous pathological processes such as coronary atherosclerotic heart disease (CAD). The aim this study was investigate whether polymorphisms were with susceptibility CAD.A total 508 CAD patients 562 age-, gender-, ethnicity-matched controls enrolled study. Four (i.e., rs11227209, rs619586, rs664589, rs3200401) genotyped using a TaqMan allelic discrimination assay. The rs619586 AG/GG genotypes G allele reduced risk (AG/GG vs. AA: adjusted OR = 0.66, 95% CI: 0.48-0.91; A: 0.68, 0.51-0.90). Stratification analyses showed that rs11227209 CG/GG, AG/GG, rs3200401 CT/TT exhibited lower levels TCH (P 0.02, 0.04, respectively). Moreover, CGCC haplotype decreased (OR 0.28, 0.16-0.48). Multivariate logistic regression analysis identified some independent factors for CAD, including rs664589. Subsequent combined rs619586AG/GG rs664589CC 0.29; 95%CI, 0.16-0.53).These findings indicate may protect against occurrence CAD.
