ABSTRACT
Endoscopic curettage is considered applicable for the treatment of simple bone cysts with expectation that it might be less invasive than open curettage. In this study, we investigated efficacy endoscopic cysts. The goal was to investigate incidence cyst recurrence and healing after Moreover, complications functionality at final follow-up were evaluated. From 2003 2014, 37 patients underwent Twenty-four male 13 female, a mean age 14.7 years. performed support an arthroscope via 7-8 mm holes penetrated by cannulated drills small incision. using angled curettes, rongeurs, electrical shaver until normal observed in medullary cavity. To curettage, evaluated consolidation evaluation (Modified Neer Classification) time solid union operation, which defined as sufficient thickness cortical prevent fracture allow physical activities.Recurrence occurred seven (18.9%). A log-rank analysis revealed contact physis associated (p = 0.006). Among 31 (83.7%), healed X-ray period, these patients, taken thinning 4.0 months (standard deviation, 2.4). With regard major transient radial nerve palsy two postoperative fractures occurred. former problem managed conservatively latter problems internal fixation; without any further complications. All had good function.Endoscopic useful alternative minimally procedure Considering relatively smaller size investigation should necessary deducing reliable conclusion.
