ABSTRACT
Abstract Objective Survival from out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) often depends on the effective and immediate use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs). Given that there have been few studies about AED in China, purpose this study is to investigate knowledge attitudes regarding among Chinese public, then provide an suggestion for education strategies legislation. Method The online survey was conducted participants First Aid eLearning courses June 2020. Result A total 2565 (95.00%) surveys were completed, only 23.46% respondents with non-medical related reported having attended previous training courses. Regarding basic AEDs, (12.28%, n = 315) could answer all four questions correctly. 95.67% (n 2454) willing learn use. Even if without precondition being skilled female more likely rescue OHCA patients than male ( p 0.003). Almost (96.65%) showed a strong willingness using AEDs. top barriers rescuing lack practical performing ability (60.47%), fear hurting (59.30%), inadequate resuscitation techniques (44.19%), worry taking legal responsibility (26.74%).
