ABSTRACT
Physical activity is associated with a lower risk of cognitive decline in older adults. However, past studies have demonstrated that adults tend to relapse into inactivity after completing interventions. This ongoing study employs randomized controlled trial design assess the efficacy and efficiency KENKOJISEICHI local revitalization system for promoting daily outdoor behaviors improve function community-dwelling mild impairment (MCI). 6-month will include 83 aged 65 years or MCI. Participants be experimental group an educational control group. The receive 90-minute session twice per week consists social, intellectual, physical activities involving intended support function. attend two 120-minute classes during period. Considering 20–30% dropout rate, sample size 35 participants required. If program successfully promotes long-term habitual behaviors, this expand knowledge regarding how activities, as well communication change, among population provide them benefits.
