ABSTRACT
The aim of the study was to analyze acute phase protein and cathelicidin gene responses small ruminant lentivirus (SRLV) infection in goats. In uninfected goats, we found higher Cp lower Fbγ mRNA levels blood leucocytes (BL) than milk somatic cells (MSC), as well SAA, Hp, CRP AGP concentrations serum milk. SRLV-infected MAP28 expression MSC BL, Fb, serum. Higher SAA Hp expressions BL were observed a concentration serum, while milk, Cp, MAP34 observed. profiles studied genes differed between BL/serum MSC/milk. elevated accompanied by decreased infected No differences other may mean that SRLV has ability evade immune system, continuing replicate. promote viral multiplication. This simultaneous reduced be additive indicators this infection.
