ABSTRACT
This paper proposes a new image scrambling algorithm based on the periodic characteristics of Josephus ring. The composes pretreatment part entire encryption system and scrambles rows columns plain image. is adjustable by using three kinds parameters: step, m0, n. Different values affect size value In this paper, we focus method determining period cycle when parameters are set rule space under arbitrary parameters. Because ring mathematical problem, analyze it group theory modern algebra. After scrambling, encrypted. CA suitable for encryption, adopts one-dimensional, four-neighbor CA, which has chaotic behavior at rules 9d62 (hex). Finally, number pixels change rate, unified averaged changed intensity test, correlation detection carried out experimental results. results show that use greatly improves security system.
