ABSTRACT
With the development of video encoding and wireless communication technologies, DASH (Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP) services have an increasing great share all mobile services. However, we find some problems which still need to be addressed for service optimization: (1) limitation segment representations cannot keep pace with change channel states; (2) characteristics transmission been not fully utilized in current services; (3) long interruption time will yield poor QoE (Quality Experience). To solve these problems, build a new architecture by modifying traditional TCP flow. We first add (Transmission Control Protocol) proxy responsible discarding expiry packets automatically before putting them into sending window then “ACK (acknowledgement) reconstruction module” reconstruct received ACK concealing discarded packet scheduler. Based on framework, explore interdependence among from encoder indicate importance each update relationship every scheduling period based feedback information. At MAC (Media Access Control) layer, buffer status estimation module is employed estimate client playback information, can used calculate urgency. Then, cross-layer design, consists application layer media server client, physical formulated resource allocation jointly optimized. through analysis queue, adaptive request scheme developed determine how when send request. Simulation results show that proposed algorithms efficiently improve quality as well continuity compared other existing algorithms.
