ABSTRACT
The aim of this study is to identify, quantify, and characterize the international experiences available for general surgery residents in residency programs United States (US). Fellowship Residency Electronic Interactive Database (FREIDA) database was used identify all US. Each institution contacted by both e-mail telephone. Respondents were asked if an experience within their program and, available, details obtained. A total 253 identified using FREIDA database. Eighty-six (34 %) noted offer residents. majority are incorporated into PGY 3 4 level training with a duration 1–4 weeks.
