ABSTRACT
Abstract In this paper, the effectiveness of strengthening by a wooden plate for reinforced concrete (RC) beams that incorporate waste sawdust (SD) as partial substitute fine aggregate (sand) has been investigated. To end, two types mixtures were made: normal (NC) and (SDC), which was made substituting 15% volume sand with SD. Five RC (100 mm in depth, 200 width, 1500 length) experimentally tested flexural behavior under four-point loading. Three schemes used study. The first scheme only fixed an adhesive layer. second third applied plate, layer steel angles (two eleven angles). findings study indicate although concrete's workability, compressive, splitting tensile strengths reduced addition SD, ultimate load beam SD lower than control beam, slight variation approximately 4%. Moreover, yielded highest capacity among all beams, 20% higher specimen. study's offered useful information developing eco-friendly efficient techniques potential future uses.
