One of the major concerns in practice allergy is related to safety procedures for diagnosis and treatment allergic disease. Management (diagnosis treatment) hypersensitivity disorders involves often intentional exposure potentially allergenic substances (during skin testing), deliberate induction office symptoms offending compounds (provocation tests) or application dangerous (allergy vaccine) sensitized patients. These situations may be associated with a significant risk unwanted, excessive even reactions, which many instances cannot completely avoided. However, adverse reactions can minimized avoided if physician fully aware potential prepared appropriately handle situation. Information on diagnostic therapeutic diseases has been accumulated medical literature decades; however, except allergen specific immunotherapy, it never presented systematic fashion. Up now no single document addressed most commonly used nor attempted present general requirements necessary assure these procedures. Following review available group experts within World Allergy Organization (WAO), representing various continents areas expertise, presents this report allergology proposes consensus performing offices. Optimal measures including appropriate location, type required time supervision, availability equipment, access specialized emergency services, etc. have recommended. This should useful allergists already established practices experience as well other specialists taking care patients allergies.
