ABSTRACT
Most cardiac myxomas occur in the atria. Myxomas arising from heart valves are rare, and there only a few reports of pulmonary valve. Complete resection prevention embolization at time first surgery important to prevent recurrence myxomas. An 82-year-old female was scheduled undergo for fracture right femoral neck. The preoperative echocardiography showed mass ventricular outflow tract. 36 × 30 mm size entered into artery during systole. Cardiac synchronous computed tomography stalked bifurcated near valve, which suspected be myxoma. Surgical findings lumen-occupying tumor when main incised. Since single with stalk on valve (right left cusps), replacement (bioprosthetic valve) were performed. A prosthetic head insertion performed postoperative day 36, patient transferred hospital 44. However, 1 year later, developed large myxoma (recurrence) that completely occluded died failure. We report case very rare treated surgery; however, another 12 months later this larger than primary tumor. surgical margins indistinct, high possibility residual wall; hence, an extended should have been considered. myxoma, case, suggests it is resect intraoperative embolization.
