ABSTRACT
This paper is an overview of the current state multiple attenuation and developments that we might anticipate in near future. The basic model seismic processing assumes reflection data consist primaries only. If multiples are not removed, they can be misinterpreted as, or interfere with, primaries. a longstanding only partially solved problem exploration seismology. Many methods exist to remove multiples, useful when their assumptions prerequisites satisfied. However, there also many instances these violated where difficult impossible attain; hence, remain problem. motivates search for new demultiple concepts, algorithms, acquisition techniques add to, enhance, our toolbox methods.
