ABSTRACT
Summary We present results of laboratory measurements velocity dispersion in a water partially saturated tight gas sandstone at seismic frequencies (2-100Hz) with strain amplitudes lower than <10-6. also obtained its elastic properties the ultrasonic frequency range (~1MHz) using transmission method. From to frequencies, there is no significant compressional wave (Vp) observed measured sample for saturation 20%, which has low porosity 4.6% and permeability 0.073mD; however, difference Vp between 10 Hz 1 MHz up 24% 70%, 2 100 reaches 330m/s. At 80%, about 1000m/s. Our demonstrate that such large low-permeability rock high be considered when applying measurements, usually made hundreds kilohertz, on field data interpretation (~10-100 Hz). In addition, these differences different can used as indicator time lapse (4-D) monitoring. These data, are seldom directly help us develop new theoretical models physics field.
