ABSTRACT
Introduction The tumors of the diencephalon region (thalamic-hypothalamic-pituitary system) include a large group: pituitary adenomas, craniopharyngiomas, gliomas, and others. Tumors differ in histological structure, manifestations clinical symptoms; by hormonal data; approaches methods treatment. Psychic symptoms are revealed disease addition to cerebral, neuroendocrine symptoms, neurological disorders. Psychoorganic syndrome is represented emotional, motivational, personal, cognitive impairments, inversion sleep-wake cycle, seizures. Disorders mental activity detected all this localization varying degrees, according different authors from 20 100%; affective pathology varies 2 80% literature. Objectives To study emotional disorders structure psychoorganic Methods 290 patients (18-78 years old, mean age 38 + 2): adenomas (PA), as most common – 170 (58,6%), craniopharyngiomas (CG), with varied manifestation 120 (41,4%). Methods: psychopathological, data endocrinological, neurological, neuroimaging methods. Results Emotional were 30 68% cases, depending on histology tumours: PA excessive secretion growth hormone - 60%; adrenocorticotropic 50%; prolactin 30%; thyroid-stimulating 40%; non-functioning 16%; CG 68%. more often changeable mood, depression, apathy, sleep disturbance, visceral symptoms. Symptoms differed tumor (type level hormones), volume lesion direction growth, concomitant hypertensive-hydrocephalic disturbances memory impairment, personality behavior changes. Conclusions 30-68% cases damage (in particular, craniopharyngiomas); determined topography involvement corresponding structures nuclei pathological process. Disclosure Interest None Declared
