ABSTRACT
e13635 Background: Approximately 40% of females over the age 65 are newly diagnosed with breast cancer. When considering elderly patients cancer ( > years old), complex decision making is required as have multiple cardiac comorbidities that may confound treatment goals. In this abstract, we aim to identify survival and outcomes in individuals. Methods: This study was conducted using a retrospective cohort design use electronic patient records. ICD diagnoses codes were used patients. Our initial search criteria revealed 1618 eligibility included adult 18 older from January 1 st , 2014 – 31 2017 which yielded 478 All data collected through chart review. Analysis performed SAS v9.4 software. Qualitative variables analyzed Chi-Square Test. Survival curves estimated Kaplan-Meier methodology log rank test. Predictors assessed Cox proportional hazards regression analyses. significance assumed at p < 0.05 level reported hazard ratios (HR). Results: Of our patients, 260 (59.5%) less than 177 (40.5%) 65. these two groups, events including new diagnosis heart failure (HF), (HF) hospitalization, acute coronary syndrome studied. For 65: n = 11 for HF, 4 HF hospitalizations, 3 ACS. greater 5 2 Comparing there no statistically significant event (p 0.05). among groups also did not yield results Conclusions: Per data, it appears difference different Additionally, mortality Further prospective studies should be confirm trends mortality.
