ABSTRACT
2632 Background: Immune-related cutaneous adverse events (irCAEs) are the most common and often first toxicity of immune checkpoint inhibitors (CPIs). In general population, irCAEs occur on average within 3.6 weeks treatment initiation commonly manifest as maculopapular rash, lichenoid pruritus. Less is known about these in racial ethnic minority patients. The purpose this study to compare cohorts Caucasian patients at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Methods: Herein, we conducted a retrospective chart review treated with CPIs between 2012-2019 were graded using Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse Events (CTCAE) v5.0. These compared cohort matched by demographics cancer therapy regimen. Results: One hundred ten presented dermatology irCAEs. Our population consisted 59 (53.6%) females 51 (46.4%) males mean age (range 20-85). Of who seen dermatology, 63/110 Asian (57.3%) followed 34/110 African American (30.9%), 1 Native American. Twelve Hispanic ethnicity (10.9%), which included those both race. 110 that evaluated had 221 events. Rash (96, 43.4%), pruritus (40, 18.1%), xerosis (23, 10.4%) frequently diagnosed (average time from start presentation was 125 days). Dermatology identified 87 (39.3%) grade 1, 103 (46.6%) 2, 30 (13.5%) 3, (0.4%) 4 There 17 (15.5%) interruptions, including 7 required permanent discontinuation. cohort, onset 228 days 1-1500). 48 (43.6%) 44 (40.0%) 18 (16.4%) 0 (0.0%) events, rash (55, 50.0%) (25, 22.7%) diagnosed. Conclusions: findings suggest groups, similar morphology When develop diagnosis occurred later than what has previously been reported, possibly due seeing MSK oncologists an established consultation system insight into how manage their own. Prospective evaluation underrepresented minorities receiving CPI warranted order identify risk factors therapeutic strategies untoward so optimal care may be delivered.
