ABSTRACT
The persistence length of semiflexible polymers and one-dimensional fluid membranes is obtained from the renormalization their bending rigidity. renormalized rigidity calculated using an exact real-space functional group transformation based on a mapping to Heisenberg model. vanishes exponentially at large scales its asymptotic behaviour used define length.
