ABSTRACT
The adipocyte-specific secretory molecule adiponectin has found widespread acceptance as a systemic marker that effectively integrates number of signals associated with metabolic dysfunction at the level adipose tissue. widely used aP2 promoter cassette, which is frequently chosen to achieve expression transgenes, conveys transcription in cell types other than adipocytes, such macrophages and cardiomyocytes. To improve our ability drive transgene more way, we aimed define minimal segment from genomic locus. We generated series transgenic animals reporter genes Cre recombinase was driven by 2, 4.9, 5.4 kb sequences. 5.4-kb fragment most effective cassette conveying target genes. therefore novel ensures passenger may be generation mouse models study gene function vivo.
