ABSTRACT The research, of which I propose to give an account in the following, had for its object investigate, continuation my work on lymphatic system skin and mucous membrane (see ‘Report Medical Officer Local Government Board’ 1879), lymphatics salivary glands, pancreas. At outset this investigation found it necessary ascertain exact nature arrangement connective tissue, so intimately connected with lymphatics, above organs, at same time became convinced that current descriptions (Henle, Heidenhain, Lavdowsky, Bermann, others) given structure glands admit many respects alterations additions. shall therefore have record results these observations anatomy pancreas under following three headings:—(A) tissue; (B) system; (c) minute structure.
