ABSTRACT
Contrast media (CM) are reported to possess both prothrombotic and anticoagulant properties. The mechanisms not clearly understood, early reports contradictory. To study the effects of CM on haemostasis, we analysed ex vivo ioversol iodixanol platelet adhesion P-selectin expression, in vitro ioversol, ioxaglate adhesion, expression plasma coagulation. A novel enzymatic assay was used measure protein surfaces, an enzyme-linked immunosorbent surface expression. Prothrombin time (PT) activated partial thromboplastin (APTT) were consisted blood from 27 outpatients administered 9 patients intravenously. Samples collected before 5 min after administration. Healthy donors for studies CM. showed significantly (p<0.05) decreased administration iodixanol. Adhesion more affected than that dose-dependently (beginning at 3 mg ml(-1)) APTT PT (p<0.01) prolonged concentrations 10 ml(-1) 30 ml(-1), respectively.
