ABSTRACT
To present our experience with the Ovation Abdominal Stent Graft System (TriVascular Inc., Santa Rosa, CA) during endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR) and compare results according to type of anaesthesia. We conducted a single-centre retrospective study including patients who underwent EVAR using endograft between May 2011 July 2014. Outcome was evaluated regarding pre-, peri- immediate postoperative follow-up measures. Overall are reported, while additional analysis performed outcome groups undertaking either local or regional/general anaesthesia (LA vs RGA).66 were included. Median 13 months (range, 1-39 months). age 72 years median abdominal aortic diameter 58 mm 54-100 mm). Technical success 63 (95%), there 2 (3%) conversions open surgery. A total percutaneous approach used in 50/66 (76%) cases. Overall, 9/66 (14%) subjects suffered from any kind morbidity. hospitalization 3 days 1-16 days). Immediate midterm mortality rate 0%. No endoleak Type I, III, IV stent migration observed. There 8 (13%) II endoleaks. procedures required 6 (9%), surgery 4 (6%) patients. 44 (67%) LA 22 (23%) RGA. Differences significant for procedural time (85 107 min; p < 0.001), access (91% 45%; 0.001) systematic complications (2.3% 14%; = 0.05).EVAR use shows promising short-term safety effectiveness. Completion under seems advantageous may be routine practice. The is an ultra-low profile graft system that allows deployment offers excellent overall efficacy safety. Totally as this specific endograft.
