ABSTRACT
The aim of the present study was to show distribution cows by days in milk (DIM) at first AI, effect DIM AI on reproductive performance and some factors influencing AI. A total 767 Holstein Frisian that calved from January 2004 December 2007 14 dairy herds were used. conception rate (FAICR) 34.0%. Seventy-five percent inseminated within 100 after calving. FAICR increased linearly up DIM. one unit (20 days) longer postpartum likelihood a 2.4% FAICR. However, an earlier stage lactation showed better terms pregnancy calving interval than later stage. day increase reduced 0.85 become pregnant. Herd or region located southwestern Japan, tie-stall herd, spring, higher parity, uterine infection, metabolic diseases and/or mastitis abnormal resumption ovarian cycles contributed delaying
