Effect of displacement on Adherence to TB Treatment: An observational study in TB patients from Internally Displaced Persons of Pakistan

ABSTRACT
This study was aimed to investigate TB patients adherence and treatment outcomes among internally displaced in comparison with adjacent settled areas.The designed as an observational cross-sectional the of populations (IDPs) North Waziristan Agency (NWA) areas Bannu Lakki Marwat (NIDPs). Based on inclusion exclusion criteria 330 fullfilled were assigned equally both IDPs NIDPs groups. Odds ratio (OR) 95% confidence interval calculated p-values, 0.05 considered statistically significant.The status "cured" "completed treatment" better compared IDPs. Patients outcome "defaulted treatment", "without documentary evidence, "failure" high NIDPs. Adherence (50.9%) (39.4%). The showing non-adherence more IDPS (27.3%) than (10.9%).Overall results this revealed a poor medications odds 0.286, (p<0.05)
