ABSTRACT
Saudi Arabia has relied on non-Saudi nurses to meet the nursing demands. faces a critical professional shortage. The annual rate of graduates is insufficient increasing healthcare Young women do not view as socially appropriate career choice. Most families consider an honorable occupational Therefore, prevailing negative images and perceived low status have contributed high stress level participants. Aim: describe preparatory Students’ perception for Nursing Profession Impact their choice in Qassim University KSA. Methodology: A descriptive cross sectional survey will be used. Probability sample all premedical students' male female KSA present at time study recruited within Academic year 2013-2014. Whereas numbers equal 260 students Female 253 students. Results: three quarters had acceptable image regarding Career preference more than half them total More unacceptable accessibility. Nearly two thirds did Male student better while accessibility student. Conclusion: should enhanced order make it valuable career. Some are interested but afraid hesitant. Afraid from society its perception, failure regrets, hesitant take risks trouble. were well aware benefits nursing. Nurse educators organize days, where there interaction between nurse educator so that they informed about opportunities further advancement. also involved during health education sessions conducted
