ABSTRACT
Backgroud:The advent of emergency or disaster has posed serious challenges to the lives many citizens in different localities and communities. This was as a result either inadequate preparation for insufficient knowledge skills on how handle situation by those concerned. So mamy were claimed; properties damaged destroyed which calls adequate effective against future occurrences rescue team members well healthcare professionals such nurses. Methods:This is cross sectional, descriptive survey conducted explore role nurse preparedness among nurses Zaria local Government area Kaduna State. One hundred twenty (120) structured questionnaires administered using simple random sampling technique. Results: The findings this study established that 34% participants within age range 30-39 years. Near two third 63% female 25% at rank Nursing Officer II (N.OII), 22% work accident unit while 45% had working experience between 1-10 More than half 60% clear correct understanding concept preparedness. also, most strongly agreed roles are enormous central Most 53% 55% ticked all tools itemized use factors affecting respectively.
