ABSTRACT
Gallstone ileus is a rare complication of cholecystolithiasis, with the majority cases requiring surgical treatment. In this paper, we describe case gallstone that was successfully treated twice conservative therapy. An 85-year-old woman admitted to our hospital because abdominal pain and vomiting. She had previously been antibiotics for cholecystitis arising from 2 gallbladder stones. Computed tomography (CT) revealed small bowel dilated 1 stones disappeared. addition, 28×22-mm calcified mass found in small-bowel lumen. We diagnosed performed nasogastric drainage decompression. Follow-up CT migration impacted stone, symptoms improved. However, months after discharge, patient's recurred. A scan again remaining disappeared gallbladder. 28×25-mm recurrent ileus. Because almost same size as previous one, selected decompression Fourteen days patient admitted, stone evacuated feces. Although many require treatment, spontaneous passage achieved case. When treatment chosen ileus, presentation clinical course must be considered.
