ABSTRACT
Objectives : The present study was carried out to evaluate the utility and reliability of footprint dimensions in age, sex stature determination North Indian population. Materials Methods: This using a sample 400 people (146 female 254 male) aged 10-65 years Uttar Pradesh, Western state India. Footprints both feet were taken bilaterally, thus total 800 prints obtained. A cluster 7 measurements carefully with help scientific scale ruler. Five length from most anterior part toe (T1–T5) mid rear heel point two breadth left right footprints: at ball (BBAL), (BHEL) 2 indexes: heel-ball Index (HBI) index (FPI). All data analyzed statistically Student’s t-test, regression coefficient Pearson’s correlation for estimation on basis dimensions. Results: T1 footprints greater than males, while BBAL found be females. seven foot higher males Conclusion: There significant differences observed all between male except LFPI, LHBI, RHBI.
