ABSTRACT
Processing of wood and composite materials contributes to the creation considerable amounts production residues. These are potential energy sources. However, content synthetic substances (including binding finishing agents) may cause emission harmful during thermal destruction such materials. Therefore, derive benefit from waste wood-based materials, it is necessary obtain information on its physical chemical properties (especially fuel properties).Hitherto, literature reports say little those properties. The aim this study was determine basic residues industrial processing (such as particleboards, fibreboards plywood) assess their suitability for biofuel production.Four groups were tested:.particleboards (standard boards OSBs), (MDF, HDF, CDF SB), layer (plywood LVL), being a combination other (double T-bars).The total moisture content, ash elementary composition (C, H, N, S, Cl), trace element (As, Cd, Cr, Cu, Hg, Ni, Pb, Zn) gross calorific value determined, net calculated. The results showed that tested had favourable could be used in place raw an source.
