ABSTRACT
Negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) is considered to be an effective treatment, yet research has highlighted a clear need for its improvement, particularly in reducing pain. This important not only patient well-being and treatment satisfaction but also the healing process. In parts 1 2, care clinicians were invited share their views on patients' experiences of NPWT. Part 3, presented here, explores patients who have had NPWT, through use questionnaire survey interview (n = 50). Findings show that majority felt NPWT positive impact (94%) overall experience was (88%). However, respondents identified number challenges associated with such as reduced mobility, noise issues, sleep disturbance. Respondents areas improvement including greater training nurses, practical alterations equipment, methods minimising pain skin damage during Taken together findings from part one two, this study highlights several key considerations future clinical practice
