ABSTRACT
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to determine whether the glucose loading method (GLM) useful in differentiation cerebral gliomas by comparing it with fasting images. Materials and Methods: patients were 70 people diagnosed gliomas, equipment was Discovery 710 (GE Healthcare, MI, USA). All fasted for more than 6 hours, images GLM performed under same imaging conditions, examination interval 1 14 days. administered 250 ㎖ 10% solution prior radiopharmaceutical injection. SUVmax glioma SUVmean cortex measured then compared analyzed tumor-to-normal brain ratio (TNR). Statistical analysis confirmed difference between two an independent-sample t-test. Results: averages TNR 1.26 1.09, respectively, which 15.6% higher GLM. In low-grade, insignificant at 4%, but high-grade, 23%, high. There a statistically significant (P=0.008), there no low grade (P=0.473), very high (P=0.005). Conclusion: increased gliomas. particular, found that grade. Therefore, considered be high-grade
