ABSTRACT
The capillary pump loop (CPL), which employs the latent heat of vaporization and condensation does not need a driving source, is considered as promising candidate for space thermal control system because its high reliability lightness. Based on experimental data base using prototype has two flat-type evaporators reservoir, new theoretical model predicting CPL performance was developed in this study. In model, receding process vapor-liquid interface observed inside evaporator taken into consideration order to make more precise prediction. Because successful agreement found between prediction both fundamental perfomance additional obtained various combinations wick size working fluid, validity method confirmed.
