ABSTRACT The aim of the present study was to analyze association between number working hours, level perceived physical strain, work-home interface and musculoskeletal pain fatigue among women men employed in public sector. Cross-sectional data from 1,180 employees (86% women) 49 workplaces 2002–2003 were analyzed. Odds ratios (OR) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs) used as measures associations. analyses showed differences well similarities men. Overall reported higher levels strain relative total workload. A high strongly associated fatigue. Nevertheless, no detrimental effects observed on health hours which indicates that a large might be balanced by accompanying multiple roles or many responsibilities therefore not generally regarded risk factors for ill health.
