ABSTRACT
Abstract When a parent assumes the caregiving responsibilities of someone with Alzheimer's disease, relationships between family members, as well roles, may be altered. The role is generally assumed by female within home; daughter or in-law. children caregivers are affected their mother becomes involved responsibility grandparents Alzheimer's. leisure patterns grandparent's behavior and daily care affect everyday routines family. focus this research was to gather information generate new insights about how granddaughters were when grandmothers had disease. Information collected interviewing six granddaughters. themes that emerged from granddaughters' stories included problems social interaction feelings embarrassment due grandmothers' behavior. Stress tension, guilt, sadness, frustration anger also emerged.
